Jayshree Sarathy is a senior research fellow and incoming assistant professor in Computer Science at Northeastern University.
Her research draws on perspectives from computer science and technology studies to analyze open data initiatives and advance our understandings of responsible data science. Her current work studies the deployment of formal privacy techniques within public-interest data infrastructures such as the U.S. federal statistical system and the Wikimedia Foundation.
Jayshree received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Harvard University and was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia’s Data Science Institute. She has received funding from the U.S. Census Bureau, the Edmund & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, and the National Science Foundation.
